Our physicians pioneered the use of stenting through small gauge catheters. This procedure enables patients to experience less peripheral arterial trauma, to receive less radiocontrast and to be discharged earlier. Our staff has extensive experience in stenting patients with acute myocardial infarction; other hospitals are just beginning to use this approach. A full 80 percent of our patients receive stents with an exceptionally low clinical recurrence rate: less than 10 percent of our patients require repeat interventions. Forty percent of our patients undergo multilesion/multivessel stenting.
